Jay Gooding

Jay turned pro in 1996 and retired in January 2004. He finished the 2003
year race standing at #263 (but was as high as #163). His highest doubles
ranking was #400. Jay qualified for the ATP Scottsdale Tour event in 2003
losing to James Blake in the first round. He also won numerous singles and
doubles titles throughout the world playing in ATP Future and Challenger
events, and competed in the 2000 Australian Open Qualifying. A certified
USPTA coach and aslo level Two Coach (ATPCA.
Since finishing his playing career, Jay founded and co- owned pro form tennis academy.

Jay now works with the USTA as a part of the junior developmental team, traveling with players to tournaments.

 

Emmanuel Paddi

Emmanuel Paddi  is a Scientist at Pfizer’s “State of the Art” Pharmaceutical Research & Development facility in Richmond, Virginia.  He is a certified member of the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA).

Emmanuel did participate in numerous International Tennis Federation (ITF) Tournaments in his junior playing years; represented Ghana Universities at the World Universities Games in Yugoslavia (UNIVERSIADE ’87); and was a member of Ghana Davis Cup Team from 1989 to 1995.

He has over the years aligned with and supported the mission of the Ofori-Donkor Tennis Tournaments to develop children in Ghana and always operated with the vision and mission in mind.

Emmanuel shares the vision of the Donkor Tennis & Education Foundation to develop children of all ages athletically and academically.

 

Eben Abban

Tennis Playing History:
Played in ITF Circuit | Played #1 for New Mexico Military Institute & #1 for Cameron University, Oklahoma
Ranked #9 in the nation in Jr. College | Played ATP Satellites and was invited onto Ghana Davis Cup Team

Head Tennis Pro @ Maiden Tennis Club, Accra, Ghana | 4 years @ Rod Schroeder National Tennis Camp
5 years @ Edens Tennis Club | 3 years Westmoreland Country Club, Wilmette, Illinois | ITF teaching certification
Coached a player currently ranked in the ATP computer | 12 years plus teaching experience

Contribution to Donkor Tennis & Education Foundation:
I plan to bring all my playing and teaching experience to aid the Donkor Foundation in anyway I can to ensure the success of the organization.  Ghana and Africa as a whole need more non profit organizations like the Donkor Foundation to help the kids succeed in their chosen sports.  I’m glad to be part of the Donkor Foundation.

 

Matt Mejia-Johnson

Matt is an up and coming junior tennis player and has been supporting the foundation by collecting donations of equipment and clothing in the Greenwich area.

 

Nick Sabbatini

Nick is a  head Tennis Pro in Greenwich and has been supporting the foundation by offering advice and collecting donations for our clinics.
